Like we announced some time back, we will release a CD with remixes/remakes/fuck-ups of V:28 tracks done by other artists. This is a very interesting project, and we can't wait to hear the result. The featured artists are Negru Voda, Beyond Sensory Experience, Nordvargr, Manes, Lrz (Red Harvest), Origami Galaktika, des Esseintes/The Protagonist, Shinjuku Thief, Desiderii Marginis and Thrawn Hellspawn (Paradigma, ex-Dødheimsgard). In addition to the remixes/remakes/fuck-ups the CD will contain two cover tracks. One by Bleak, which was released as a limited CDR along with the limited edition of the "SoulSaviour" album, and one by Swans. The Swans cover was recrorded during the recording of the "VioLution" album, and features a special guest appearance by Coph Nia. The release date is not yet determined, but the album will be out on Vendlus Records during the coming autumn.

Did some modifications on the website. The guestbook and the links have been moved to the contact section, and the discography and media section have been modified.

The V:28 website will change server in short time, so there might be some down time or it might take a while before we get a chance to update the website. For updates check out our Myspace profile.

Make sure to check out the new EP of Ancestral Legacy (the other band of Eddie and Atle). The EP is available for purchase from their website.

Unfortunately V:28 has to cancel the show in Kristiansand May 3rd due to reasons beyond our control... We hope to be back soon!

We are also looking for promoters who are interested in arranging a gig with V:28 the coming autumn. This will be the last opportunity to catch a V:28 performance.

Official statement regarding the future of V:28
There's been a few questions and speculations lately regarding the future of V:28, wether we will continue or not, so we though an official statement would be in its right place about now. Even though it has been a relatively tought decision to make, we've decided to call it a day. There's a number of reasons for why we chose to disband at this point, but most important is that we have fulfilled the work we set out to do. It's always been about the trilogy, and the content of the trilogy is the very essence of V:28. It would be wrong to continue under the name V:28. We have done our very best in every task, and seen from our point of view, we have succeeded in making a trilogy based upon the end of the World with a different and unique approach. The "VioLution" album is how we see it the peak of our creative output, and it feels pointless walking same path over again now that we've already reached the end of it... However, it's important to stress the fact that V:28 will be fully operational throughout 2008, doing concerts, interviews and promotional works regaring our releases, and we will announce our resignation in good time.   

Remix CD 
We have been planning on releasing a remix CD for a while. This CD will feature a number of interesing artists' interpretation of a selection of the tracks from the whole trilogy. This will be a worthy end of the band and indeed a very interesting release. Expect a late autumn 2008 release. We'll get back with more details as they are confirmed!

The album has a great sound. Brutal and to the point. Some may, as morons always tend to do, focus on the fact that there’s no authentic drumming on the release. I’m sure a human drummer would decrease the heavy militaristic impression of “VioLution” So, stick to your guns and continue the travelling through vast landscapes of bombing and warfare. V:28 may not have the solution, but they do have the “VioLution”. - Imhotep

The "VioLution" album is soon to be released, so make sure to get your copy from the webshop or from Vendlus Records. The in-store date is set to October 29th, but the album is available from online mailorders from September 28th. We've also made some wooden boxes, strictly limited to 100 copies, to hold the three CDs in the trilogy. The boxes are hand made, and they look amazing! The ultimate V:28 collectors item! For those of you who already have the three CDs, the box can be purchased seperately as well. Check it out in the webshop. Pre-order are taken now!

The video for the track "shut it down" is going online friday September 21st! The video is also available on the "VioLution" CD in high resolution DVD quality!

We have also started to book concerts, and the first one will be the release party for the "VioLution" album, in Arendal, Friday October 26th at Arendal Kulturhus. Tickets are available now! Check out the live section for more detalis!

LRZ is currently mixing the new V:28 album, and from what we've heard so far it sounds brilliant! More news as we get them...

MARCH 17th 2007

The recording of the new album is finished! Everything has turned out great, and we're really looking forward to hear the final mix. We have no idea when it's gonna be finished, but our guess is within April or so... Make sure to check in for regular updates! 

We have also started a collaboration with a group of three young and promising students that will help us make a video for the track "Shut It Down" from the upcoming album. They make this video as a part of their bachelor studies in mulitimedia technology. From the sketches (above) it looks very promising. It's gonna be a mix of animation and video clips. Check out their blog for updates and more sketches. 

FEBRUARY 11th 2007

So, we've finally started to record the third album. This album will be the last album in the trilogy that we have been working with some years now. Everything is going good so far, and we expect to finish the recording process within February. The mixing will be handled by sound wizard LRZ from Red Harvest. He's done a superd job with the previous albums, so it was a natural choice to pick him for the job. For regular updates, please check out the studio report at the V:28 forum.

First of all, we want to send a big "Tanks to you!" to all of you who made the gig at Arendal Kulturhus such a great experience. The engineers, the crew and not to mention the fans! It was also the first time we used a film to add a visual dimension to the music. The film was put together by the deconstructing engineer for DeConstruction Inc. exclusively...  

All the "Death Industrial Survival Kits" are gone! But there's still lots of stuff in the webshop that will keep you wamr and safe when the bombs rain!

NOVEMBER 1st 2005

We just came back from our first gigs outside Norway, and what a tremendeous experience it has been! Thanks a lot to all of you who made it possible, Michael at Fedtebrød (Denmark), the brilliant chef at the Australian Barbeque in Aalborg for cooking Skippy and Dagros for us, Ben Fisher (the best metal travel guide in Kiel), the bands we played with at Räucherei in Kiel, and most important of all, you who showed up at our shows... your neckache and support are truly appreciated! We'll upload some pictures from the shows as soon as they're ready!

As for future gigs, we're playing with Dimension F3H in Tønsberg, Norway, November 25th at a venue called Rivals Rock Pub. For further details check out their website here!

Great news folks!!! We have just confirmed our first gigs outside Norway! We're gonna play at Fedtebrød in Aalborg (Denmark) October 28th, and at a mini festival in Kiel (Germany) October 29th. At this point we don't have all the details about the gig in Kiel, so check out this website for regular updates! 

A big thank you to all of you who came to see us in Sandnes, and a special thanks to Sandnes Rock Klubb for the great arrangement! The whole trip was awesome, and I hope you all had a great time! A very very special thanks goes to the guy who "loaned" us 1 NOK on our way to Sandnes... without you, who knows what might have happened?

The awesome American webzine Lunar Hypnosis have just released a free mp3-compilation, and V:28 are featured with the track "deConstructor" from our critically acclaimed "SoulSaviour" album. Check it out here!

Huge update folks!
First of all, the new album is finally finished! It was finished monday March 28th (coincidence? I think not!)
We are extremely proud of the album, and it turned out far better than we would ever dream of! LRZ did a marvelous job!
We are also extremely proud to announce that Lina Baby Doll of Deutsch Nepal, Peter Andersson of Raison D'être, Lars Pedersen of When,
LRZ and Kim W. Isaksen contributed to make the album as good as it turned out! Thank you guys!

The release date for the SoulSavior album is yet not decided, but it will be out some time in May! Check back regularly for updates!
We have also been talking to the guys in Dimension F3H about doing some gigs together. Finally we have managed to book a copule
of concerts together, and hopefully there will be more! Check out the dates and venues here!

The site has been redesigned! Wohoo!

The mixing of the new V:28 album is entering the final stage! LRZ is really doing an amazing job on the production, and it sounds great! The album will prbably be out in early May, but we'll keep you posted as soon as things are settled.

The album was recorded at Forbidden Frequencies, which is our own studio, between November 2004 and January 2005. The result is nothing but excellent! It is currently being mixed by LRZ (Red Harvest). Expect a few surprises! More details soon...

The planned gig i Ålesund was ufortunately cancelled due to reasons beyond our control... However be sure to pop up at this years Elements of Metal festival in Sandefjord, Norway. AUGUST 1st 2004

Finally we're back with some updates on what's happening with V:28. Kristoffer has moved to Arendal, so now the band is gathered in the same part of Norway. That means more regular rehearsing, and probably more concerts... We'll keep you updated!
We are currently working on the follow up album to "NonAnthropogenic", and it all looks very promising! Stay tuned...

The V:28 website will move to a different server within short time, but this shouldn't cause any problems, as we will have the site on this server for another two months as well... But please update your link to http://www.v28.com instead of the http://www.stud...... URL!

The guestbook that we had expired, so unfortunately all the old posts are long gone. We hope that we can keep the new one for 28 years or so, so keep posting your mental illness, destructive thoughts, stories about violation of trees, your love for V:28 and other things in our new guestbook! 

V:28 will play at this years "Mölla Festival" in Norway. The festival is on August 20th (friday) and 21st (saturday). We will play on saturday with among others Arcturus! For more info on this event check out their website at http://move.to/gjerstad

Added three interviews to the press section, two new ones (Vampire Magazine and Rimfrost) and the first V:28 ever (Beat the Blizzard)...

Another related news is that Atle and Kristoffer played as session musicians for Petter Nesset (dark electronica) with among others Lars Pedersen from the legendary band When. Great experience indeed!!! A clip from the gig is to be found at the Vendlus Records Forum, which is the global centre for talking bullshit and solving world problems!
